DAY 1 - Int. Airport SJO / San José (±1h)
Reception at the airport, delivery of your travel book and your local SIM card, pick up of the rental vehicle or meeting with your driver guide. Cultural visit of the capital. 1 night in San José.
DAY 2 - San José / Puerto Viejo (± 4h)
Departure for the Caribbean, more precisely for Puerto Viejo. This small touristic city is magnificent because of its Afro-Caribbean culture and its biodiversity. 4 nights in Puerto Viejo.
DAY 3 - Puerto Viejo / Playa Cocles
To acclimatize to Pura Vida, nothing better than enjoying the kilometers of paradisiacal beaches while tasting traditional dishes of the region.
DAY 4 - Puerto Viejo / Cahuita (± 30min AR)
You will spend the day in the Cahuita National Park, a heavenly place to discover the flora and fauna of the region. In this park, the rainforest plunges into the Caribbean Sea, allowing you to observe coatis, sloths and many other species while having your feet in the water.
DAY 5 - Puerto Viejo / Manzanillo / Punta Uva
Embark with our local partner to a secluded beach in the Manzanillo Refuge. This boat trip will be an opportunity for the lucky ones to observe turtles or starfish. Stopover on the way back to one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, Punta Uva, where it is possible to make a short trip in kayak.
DAY 6 - Puerto Viejo / La Fortuna (± 4h00)
Departure for the plains of the North where you will discover totally different landscapes and atmosphere. 6 nights in La Fortuna.
DAY 7 - La Fortuna
Free day. Depending on your profile, we will advise you on different activities to do in the region (e.g. suspension bridges, zip line, etc.).
DAY 8 - La Fortuna / Sarapiquí (± 3h00 AR)
Rafting down the rapids of the Río Sarapiquí, followed by a discovery of the local gastronomic know-how through a tasting of organic products.
DAY 9 - La Fortuna
A 6 km hike through the Arenal 68 reserve, offering breathtaking views of one of the most beautiful volcanoes in the world.
DAY 10 - La Fortuna / El Pilón (± 4h00 AR)
7 km hike in the Tenorio Volcano National Park to discover the resplendent Río Celeste and its waterfall.
DAY 11 - La Fortuna
Relaxing end of travel in the thermal baths of the Arenal volcano.
DAY 12 - La Fortuna / Int. Airport SJO (±3h)
Depart for SJO International Airport. Delivery of the rental vehicle or farewell with your driver guide and check-in for international flights. Pura Vida!
